Reem (BA, MC) is a Registered Provisional Psychologist in Alberta and holds a Master of Counselling.

Creating an honest, safe, and empathetic environment is of utmost importance to her. Keeping this in mind, her approach is that of a collaborative experience, which centres your story outside of stigma and judgement. Her goal as a therapist is to walk with you in times of chaos and provide support in a way that builds you up to face life’s challenges as they come up. As a therapist, she strives to build the most supportive, empathetic, and judgement-free environment possible. Therefore, the therapeutic direction taken will depend on what encourages the healing process.

Reem also incorporates Islamic teachings into the sessions as related to the challenges that arise during those times. It is a way to process and explore one's Imaan without shame or judgment.

Her work is based on a humanistic approach to therapy that includes modalities such as, Narrative Therapy, Trauma-Informed Practice, Solution-Focused Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, Person-Centred Practice, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
