Nafeesa is here to support you with relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, and trauma.
Nafeesa is a registered social worker and psychotherapist with experience in counseling, school social work, child welfare, safety planning, and risk assessment to survivors of trauma and domestic violence, and supportive counseling to older adults and people with special needs. As a practicing Muslim woman, she considers it a privilege to work in the Muslim community, both in her private practice and community organizations.
Nafeesa sees your struggles in the larger context of society. She understands that the social determinants of health (housing, employment, isolation, safety, health care, etc.) deeply affect the mental health and well-being of individuals, couples, and families.
Nafeesa offers culturally and religiously sensitive therapy. She will create a safe space where you can share your challenges, develop strategies to manage difficult situations and improve your overall well-being.
Her areas of expertise include supporting people struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, domestic violence, special needs, workplace stress, burnout, perfectionism, and relationship issues. Nafeesa provides counseling support in English, Urdu, and Hindi languages.
