Khadhija is a graduate from the Master of Social Work program at the University of Toronto, specializing in Health and Mental Health. She is registered with the Ontario Colleges of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
Khadhija is dedicated to helping in navigating life’s challenges, burnout, and cross-cultural issues to enhance mental well-being, self-confidence, and overall quality of life. Drawing from her experiences as a South-Asian Muslim woman navigating the Western world, she deeply understands the struggle of fitting into a society with ever-changing norms. Khadhija is committed to creating a non-judgmental therapeutic environment where you can feel safe.
Her therapeutic approach is rooted in collaboration using Motivational Interviewing as her overarching therapeutic style. She empowers you to explore your inner strengths, creating a therapy plan based on your individualized needs. She works using a mixed methods approach with Emotion Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness. She integrates mindfulness exercises within sessions, such as breath work and being present at the moment, empowering you while building a coping skills toolkit.
