"My experience extends broadly throughout the social work sector- clinically, in the community, and in private practice. I have experience supporting individuals with mood and anxiety disorders, disabilities, dual diagnosis, spiritual counselling, and children's aid services. Through these experiences, I have been described as committed, kind, and having a great sense of humor.
My aim is to provide strength-based, culturally sensitive therapy through a compassionate, trauma-informed, and non-judgmental lens. I was raised in Somalia, Egypt and Canada which has supported my understanding of different values, cultures, beliefs and ideologies. Overall, I am passionate about psychotherapy and dismantling the stigma surrounding therapy in my community.
Hobbies & interests: Spending time with family, baking, trying new restaurants, watching movies, and snuggling with my cat."
