Amara Samad

Amara Samad is a Registered Social Worker affiliated with both the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW), holding an Authorized Practice Endorsement, and the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers (OCSWSSW). She earned her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Regina in Saskatchewan and is currently advancing her expertise by pursuing a Master's in Counseling Psychology. With several years of experience, Amara has effectively served diverse groups through her roles in various non-profit organizations and the Government of Saskatchewan.

Amara is dedicated to providing high-quality care and essential mental health support for those in need using an eclectic approach. She provides a safe, inviting, and respectful environment for her clients. She has training in a range of evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Informed Therapy. She specializes in counseling services for individuals struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, managing work-life balance, major life transitions, and relationship or family concerns. She takes a collaborative approach to therapy built on trust and openness, tailoring each session specifically to her clients' needs, wants, and goals.
