Abdul Wasey Faruqi

I know how daunting starting a healing journey can be. I’ve been there too. Scrolling through therapist bios finding someone who might understand your unique life story. Someone you can open up to and feel safe with.

Hi, my name is Abdul Wasey and I am here to support you on this journey. I am a South Asian, first generation immigrant, third culture kid, and a father of three highly-amusing kids.
I work with BIPOC clients to provide culturally sensitive reflection spaces in both individual and group settings. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate difficult emotions, thoughts, and patterns of behavior that may be impacting their relationships.

Together, we can help you build a deeper understanding of yourself, develop healthier coping skills, and cultivate more meaningful relationships with those around you. I am also very passionate about helping BIPOC men get to a better place emotionally. Whether you are dealing with depression, anxiety, stress, relationship issues, etc., my goal is to provide an empathetic, nonjudgmental, and welcoming space for you.

We’ll take it one session at a time and you can set the pace.

My modalities include: Psychodynamic, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Narrative Therapy through two main frameworks -- Existential and Culturally Responsive and Socially Just (CSRJ).
