Current Open Positions

Volunteer Co-Ordinator

We are currently looking for a Volunteer Co-Ordinator with experience to manage volunteer resources in order to assist in the delivery of Naseeha’s programs and services. This includes directly managing volunteers, and/or providing guidance, support, resources and tools to staff who supervise volunteers.

Only candidates selected for further consideration will be contacted.
This is a Volunteer position.

Successful Candidate will be responsible for and/or possess the following:

– Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, human resources an asset

– Knowledge of current trends, resources and information related to volunteerism and youth development

– Experience in event planning, volunteer coordination and superior interpersonal skills

– Ability to manage through influence

– Strong analytical, computer skills and customer service orientation

– Develop and implement a volunteer program which reflects the mission and vision of Naseeha

– Assess the need for volunteers to enhance program/service delivery in collaboration with the administration team

– Develop a budget for the volunteer program activities and track the expenditures

– Promote volunteer program to gain community support for the organization and its programs and services

– Ensure that volunteers are given appropriate training to be successful in their positions

– Plan and implement formal and informal volunteer recognition activities to recognize the contribution of volunteers to the organization

Counselling Team Leader - Weekdays

We are currently looking for Counselling Team Leaders with professional experience in the areas of mental health. Hours of work are Mon-Fri 3-9 pm and compensation will be provided.

Successful Candidate will be responsible for and/or possess the following:
– Bachelor’s degree at minimum in mental health or related education
– 2 years’ experience in a mental health related field
– Trauma counselling and crisis intervention experience
– Ability to manage a team of 5-10 volunteer peer counsellors
– Answer, document and respond appropriately to incoming calls Mon to Fri 3-9pm
– Ability to think creatively and innovatively
– Strong attention to detail
– Motivated to work independently and in team environments
– Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
– Fluency in a second language (eg. French, Arabic, Urdu) is an asset.

Other Requirements:
– A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is a requirement
